Wren is a home dashboard app for iOS developed by Redman Creative (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information Wren accesses, how that information is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Wren app distributed through the Apple App Store.

Our approach is simple: we do not collect your data. Wren is built entirely on Apple’s own frameworks and services, and your information stays on your device or within your Apple account. We do not operate accounts or servers of our own, we do not run analytics or advertising, and we do not sell or share your personal data.

Information Wren Accesses

HomeKit data. With your permission, Wren connects to Apple HomeKit to display and control the smart home accessories, scenes, and rooms you have set up in the Home app. This data is accessed through Apple’s HomeKit framework and is processed entirely on your device. Wren does not transmit your HomeKit data to us or to anyone else, and it is never used for marketing, advertising, or data mining of any kind.

Location. If you enable location-based features (such as local weather on your dashboard), Wren uses your device’s location with your permission. Your location is used only to provide those features through Apple’s services and is not stored by us or used for any other purpose.

Calendar. If you choose to show your calendar on your dashboard, Wren accesses your device’s calendar with your permission. Calendar information is displayed on your device only and is never transmitted to us.

Apple services. Wren’s features are delivered through Apple frameworks and services (such as HomeKit and other on-device Apple APIs). When these services process information, they do so under Apple’s own privacy practices, which are described in Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not receive that information.

Wren does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any account credentials. Wren does not use third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs.

How Information Is Used

Information Wren accesses is used solely to provide the app’s core functionality — displaying and controlling your home dashboard. We do not use it to build user profiles, and we do not repurpose it for anything beyond the features you have enabled.

Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Wren does not use third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs; the only services it relies on are Apple’s, as described above. In the event that any other third-party service is ever used to deliver a feature of Wren, we will only work with providers that offer the same or equal protection of your data as described in this policy and as required by Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines, and we will update this policy to identify them.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because your information is processed and stored on your device rather than on our servers, we do not retain your personal data. Deleting the Wren app from your device removes all data the app has stored. If you believe we hold any of your personal data, or you would like to request deletion, contact us at info@redmancreative.com and we will respond promptly.

Your Choices and Revoking Consent

You are always in control of what Wren can access. You can grant or revoke Wren’s access to HomeKit, Location, and Calendar at any time in your device’s Settings under Privacy & Security (or in Settings > Apps > Wren). Revoking access may limit certain dashboard features, but the app will continue to function otherwise.

Children’s Privacy

Wren is a household app intended for use by adults, though some features — such as checking off chores — may be used by children in your family under a parent or guardian’s supervision. Wren handles children’s information the same way it handles everyone’s: it stays on your device and is never collected by us, transmitted to our servers, or shared with third parties. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or from any other user.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes that affect how your data is handled will be communicated within the app where appropriate.
